Our Grade II listed building provides the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience.

The bar area oozes charm and character with its low ceilings, wooden floor and three local real ales on the pumps, lending itself to a more casual and informal dining experience. We have a large selection of choices on our bar menu, which ranges from sandwiches to lighter meals including homemade chilli con carne served with rice.

Our Main Restaurant area, while still rustic and traditional in construction, the interior decoration has a more contemporary feel. An impressive new oak, dry peg extension—our Summer Room—leads on from the main Restaurant, offering a more airy and spacious dining room. Both areas can accommodate up to 85 persons.

All our dishes are cooked to order using primarily fresh local produce. All our meat is free range or organic & our vegetables are bio-dynamic, using local suppliers where possible.

During the summer months, al fresco dining is also available on our terraced patio area and in our walled garden which has a quintessentially English setting with tables laid on mown lawns.

To compliment all of our menus we have an extensive wine list, with wines and champagnes from around the world, including new world wines. Many of which are available by the glass.

Bookings for our restaurant are advised, but not essential. It is, however, strongly recommended to book for Friday and Saturday dinner and also for Sunday lunch. For large group dining, please enquire by telephone. It is likely that we may require a pre-order for large parties, and will send a menu if necessary.

We welcome dogs into our garden during the warmer months, but unfortunately, because we are predominantly a dining pub, we do not allow dogs inside.

If you are interested in making a reservation or an enquiry, don’t hesitate to give us a call on 01480 414050, and we will be more than happy to help.
