Our Grade II listed building provides the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience.
The bar area oozes charm and character with its low ceilings, wooden floor and three local real ales on the pumps, lending itself to a more casual and informal dining experience. We have a large selection of choices on our bar snacks menu which range from sandwiches and salads to lighter meals including homemade chilli served with wild rice.
Our Main Restaurant area, whilst still rustic and traditional in construction the interior decoration is more modern with a contemporary feel. An impressive new oak, dry peg, extension leads on from the main Restaurant, offering a more airy and spacious dining room in a modern and sympathetic style. Both areas can accommodate up to 85 persons.
Our A’la carte Restaurant Menu which offers a mix of contemporary and traditional dishes is served daily from 12.00 noon until 2.30pm and 6.00pm until 9.30pm, Monday to Saturday and 12.00 noon until 9.00pm on Sundays.
All our dishes are cooked to order using primarily fresh local produce. All our meat is free ranged or organic & our vegetables are bio-dynamic, using local suppliers where possible.
For group dining, tables of 15 guests or more we can offer a number of possibilities, including a 3 Course Set Menu. A sample menu is available to download, please discuss your requirements when making your reservation.
During the summer months, al fresco dining is also available on our terraced patio area and in our walled garden which has a quintessentially English setting with tables laid on mown lawns.
To compliment all of our menus we have an extensive wine list, with wines and champagnes from around the world, including new world wines. Many of which are available by the glass.
Bookings for our restaurant are advisable but by no means essential. It is however strongly recommended to book for Friday and Saturday dinner and also for Sunday lunch.
